Happy New Year and welcome back! Hope you and your children enjoyed a blessed Christmas. I’m sure many were wishing for a little snow.
REGIONAL SCHOOL UPDATE
I hope you received your letter from the Archbishop mailed out before Christmas. A reminder, tonight we have an “Open House” for all families. The time is from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Please join us for some fun, visit with families from St. Matthew and St. John Vianney, and partake in refreshments.
Have you turned in your nomination for naming the new Regional School?
The three principals were given job descriptions to apply for President or Principal and asked to write “A Letter of Intent.” I did apply for the Principal position, either full time or part time. Now I wait and see what the next step may be. This is just for an interim position.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS - The evening of Tuesday, January 31 will be registration and information for the 2012-2013 school year. More information to follow as we get closer to the day.
Visit the new Regional Catholic School website at www.sprcs.org
The price is right. FREE! You can check out the TV in the library and the piano is in the science room.
VOLUNTEERS:
Mrs. Renelle Reyes, grandmother to Blade in Kindergarten, helps out on the playground and in the lunchroom. We are still in need of help on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8:15-8:35 am. Have you given your two hours yet?
Thank you to Frank Stickler and Mike Charley for attaching bars to the playground bridge, making it a safer play area.
The two days before Christmas break were days to get caught up with homework, finish projects and have a little Christmas fun. Many classrooms had special parties. On Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Charley took the students in the gym and watched Timmy’s Special Delivery a Precious Moments Christmas Story and then a Sing Along with Disney characters.
This weekend is the Feast of the Epiphany.
Do you remember the three kings names?
