HOME & SCHOOL MEETINGS
For ALL Parents - NO students.
Both meetings begin at 7 PM in the Gym

On Tuesday, Sep. 15

Parents of students in Grades 6, 7, & 8 are invited to attend and hear from your child’s teachers about expectations and working together. It is especially important for 6th grade parents and parents new to our school.

Tuesday, Sep. 22
The meeting is for parents of students in grades K-5.
I especially want to see ALL KINDERGARTEN parents. Most of you are new to our school and I need to speak to you as a group.
First through fifth grade parents, your teachers are also anxious to talk to you about their expectations for the year.

These two meetings are one of the most important of the school year. Please make every effort to attend. I’m sorry we cannot offer babysitting, it is important that you do not bring children. This is time for teacher and parents to work together.

REGISTRATION PACKET
Thank you to all who have returned the information we need to help run our school.
One volunteer is still needed on the playground every morning from 8:15 – 8:30 and on Monday and Friday from 12:00 – 12:30 PM. Please let us know if you can help out.

Out of uniform passes not used last year may be used this year, FRIDAYS only.

WHY WE DO THE MARATHON!

The Minnesota Marathon for Nonpublic Education is a fun and effective way to raise funds, and public awareness for your school. Since 1974, Marathon events have given students, school families, faculty members and others an opportunity to show their school pride while generating important financial support for school programs. With fun events and service projects, the Marathon has served communities while supporting nonpublic education. In 1975, the State Council of the Knights of Columbus joined the effort. Since then, the Knights have provided financial support for Marathon events across the state. Typically, students solicit donations for walk-a-thons, bike marathons, community clean-up events and service projects matching students with community needs.

Our school participates in the Marathon for Non-Public Education. The money we receive is used directly for our school's needs. Some projects we have accomplished: removal of asbestos from classrooms, carpeting classrooms, window blinds, playground equipment, field trips to the MN orchestra for children, Computers for classrooms and a computer lab (24), new locks for the classroom doors (intruder safety locks) $4000.00 classroom chairs, 20 at $30 a piece

Each child's goal is $100.00, it is suggested not expected. We have 98 students but I have set the school goal at $10,000, which we have reached in the past. I do expect 100% participation. Your child can participate in various ways.
1) Bringing in pledge money
2) Make a poster advertising the Marathon
3) Create a prayer for the Marathon
4) Make up a Marathon Cheer
5) Participate in the Marathon on Saturday, October 3

This years Marathon money will help pay for the D.A.R.E. program through the West St. Paul Police department, we pay $1000.00 of the expense. We are looking into transforming our computer lab into a wireless lab. We appreciate any donation you are willing to give, big or small, and thank you in advance.
