SAT10 TESTING – Grades 1 –8.

Just a reminder parents, be sure your child has a good breakfast and please try not to make appointments during the day. You may want to check with your child’s teacher to see when they are testing.

Fall Festival - thanks to all who helped and attended!

Another festival has come and gone and a huge thank you is owed to all the volunteers and attendees. A special thanks to Clint and Diane Blaiser and Simon and Linda Haeg for their tireless efforts in organizing another successful fall festival. We will have the financial results in about 30 days and will report those when available.

DRIVE FOR THE KIDS

Thank you to all the parents and parishioners who took a Chrysler for a drive. There were 155 drivers at $10 each totaling $1,550. Because we made the goal of 150 drivers we will be receiving another $250, making the grand total $1,800. Thank you Fury Motors of South St. Paul.

 

KEMPS Nickels for Schools sent a check for $138.85. Please keep saving the milk caps and remember to rinse them off.

CONGRATULATIONS

Gabriel Byron in Kindergarten would like to announce the birth of his new baby brother. Joaquin Rosales II born on Sep. 21, 2011 at 10:40 am. Joaquin weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz and was 19” in length with lots of hair.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:

Stephanie Powers, mother of Connor Nicolay in Gr. 3. She will often be seen on the playground at lunchtime and / or in the lunchroom handing out fruit or napkins or wherever she is needed. Thank you Ms. Powers, you help make St. Michael special.

Cooking Safely for a Crowd Workshop

This FREE workshop, provided by staff from the University of Minnesota Extension and MDH, is intended for people who plan, prepare or serve food at large group events. New changes in Minnesota law (effective date August 1, 2011) require food safety training for people who cook and serve food at some faith-based and community events. This workshop will satisfy that requirement

MARATHON – What percentage of their goal has each class brought in?

KN = 4% - 32%

1st = 5% - 15%

2nd = 22% - 25%

3rd = 7% - 45%

4th = 31% - 42%

5th = 3% - 13%

6th – 49% - 69%

7th = 4% - 10%

8th = 95% - 101%

Congratulations to Grade 8 for making their goal! Hope a few more classes make their goal.

Total amount collected is $3866 our goal is $10,000.

October 1 is the Marathon.

We start at 9am and finish by 10am.
